Collaborators
In order to fulfill our mission, we believe it’s essential to collaborate with other organizations, foundations and people who are ready to work alongside us to make our mission a reality.
Organizational Partners
Please note that we are not a religious organization and do not provide religious programming. Though we do at times collaborate with faith-based organizations, no programming that we participate in is religious.

Federation of Neighborhood
Centers, Philadelphia
FNC builds strong neighborhoods through intentional partnerships, supporting programs that work with children, youth, families, and individuals who traditionally do not have access to high quality services and programming. YACA partners with FNC for workforce development for the teens of Shadow Company, participating in summer internships through WorkReady and FNC’s year-round internship program.
Natural Creativity Center
Natural Creativity is a resource center for self-directed education located in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood. At NC, families who choose an alternative to traditional schooling receive support through a partnership model. Young people attend 1-4 days a week to explore a wide range of materials and opportunities with staff and other young people. We are designed to be a complement to our families' homeschooling/self-directed education practice. YACA partners with NCC to provide teaching artists for weekly arts-based activities and workshops.
Act Two|Next Generation, Theatre Philadelphia
Increasing the access to local theatre for Black, Brown, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA Philadelphia youth, Act 2|Next Generation is centered around youth not only seeing more theatre but also being mentored and listened to as they review and reflect on the impact these stories have on them. YACA Shadow Company is proud to have it’s youth participate in this program, both in seeing more local theatre and documenting their journey through this program.
Germantown Mennonite Church
From their website, “a vibrant, welcoming, worshipping community in northern Philadelphia.” YACA and GMC have been partners for several years now as they so graciously host many of our programs.
Venice Island Performing Arts Center
Venice Island is 250 seat state of the art theatre in the heart of Manayunk! We have partnered with Venice Island Performing Arts Center since 2017. This space gives our students the experience of working and performing in a professional theatre.
Germantown Arts District
The Germantown Arts District supports and contributes to the creative ecosystem of Germantown by partnering and collaborating with local artists and arts-based organizations and businesses. Germantown Arts District encourages all people to embrace and examine their individual creative identity by fostering environments conducive to this type of exploration. We are proud to partner with GAD on this mission!
Creative Engagement Lab
+ the makeSPACE program
Creative Engagement Lab is dedicated to revealing and strengthening the creative capacities of people and organizations. They passionately believe in the power of creative work as a tool for connecting people, transforming organizations, expanding perspectives, and furthering social justice imperatives. They have designed the makeSPACE project, which enhances the creative strengths of teachers and prepares them to integrate research-based creative and artistic practices into curriculum and instruction across content areas and grade levels. YACA is a key partner in the implementation of this project in classrooms throughout the School District of Philadelphia, working one-on-one to coach and champion teachers in the project.
