RHD is a large, diversified charitable organization, based in Philadelphia that oversees roughly 150 programs. The New Beginnings Incubator provides small and startup nonprofit programs, like Yes! And…, with a range of services and support designed to help them grow and continue the work of achieving their missions.

Yes! And… seeks partnership with communities to serve children in some of the most economically depressed regions of Philadelphia.  And like all quality educational experiences, Yes! And…’s Collaborative Arts Programs, do not come without cost, and cannot happen without support.

Over 95% of the students and families we serve, rely on scholarship assistance to attend our programs.  In order to make this happen, Yes! And... actively seeks funding and assistance to build scholarship funds as well as subsidize other program and administrative costs. 

Although, it is not yet a reality, we believe that for any student with the desire to learn in this way, money should not be the reason they don’t participate.  So, Yes! And... relies heavily on the generosity and sponsorship of folks like you!

One time gifts of any size make a huge difference in underwriting the cost of running our programs and make an even greater impact on the lives of young people across Philadelphia. Here is a practical look at just how far-reaching your gift is and how it might find its way into the hands and lives of our students…   Your generous gift of… $50 puts gas in the van and gets 12 campers to and from Summer Theatre Camp for a week $150 pays for all the art supplies for one Tribe of Summer Theatre Campers $250 covers the cost of a year of After-School Field Trips $350 sends a Yes! And… Teaching Artist into a classroom with supplies for 4 hours, at no cost to the school $500 buys snack for ALL students attending Summer Theatre Camp $750 covers the ENTIRE cost of a Weekend Play-Building Festival for 10 teens $1000 provides summer employment and training for one local high school student $1500 allows Yes! • Camperships

Camperships	Sponsor a Summer Theatre Camper
It costs about $200 a week to send a young person to Yes! And… Summer Theatre Camp. In most cases, families of our campers are able to pay a very small portion of that amount (usually less than 7%). By sponsoring a camper for a week or more, you become an important partner in a child’s life – insuring that they are given the opportunity to spend their summer laughing, playing, creating and learning – an opportunity they may not otherwise have. Yes! And… Summer Theatre Camps provide a place where kids can safely imagine, play and create in collaboration with their peers and adult Artist Teachers, where they gain self confidence and esteem as their ideas are affirmed and celebrated and where they are met each day with the promise “if you can imagine it, we’ll create it – together!” Please choose from one of the options below.

• Reading Buddies

Reading Buddies	be a buddy, be a friend
Every new reader needs a reading buddy. Yes! And… works to train our After-School staff and volunteers in the rewarding, but challenging task of literacy coaching. For many students learning to read can be one of the most difficult challenges of their early academic career. Yes! And… is helping struggling readers each day after school at our Collaborative Arts-based Literacy Programs. Taught through the events of creating together, imaginative play and collaboration, reading becomes much more than a daunting task – it becomes an engaging and rewarding event. Become a Buddy to one of our young readers and a partner to our After-School staff in providing the support they need to achieve success! These programs run Monday-Friday, October to June. So consider $1 day (that’s $5 a week or $20 a month) for nine months…only $180. This doesn’t seem like much, but becoming a Reading Buddy to one or more students could help to insure that this desperately needed program continues for these young people at no cost to their families. Library Friends	be a buddy, be a friend
Help build our Children’s Library. The better readers our kids become, the more books they read! So, we need to be building the libraries at our Collaborative Arts-based Literacy After-School Program. A gift of $50 buys a bin of thirty books directed toward specific student reading levels and a gift of $100 buys a comprehensive set of thematically related books to be used for Read-Alouds. Becoming a Library Friend helps to make certain that these new readers have fun and interesting books to hold and dive into each day!
