3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF! Join us on an adventure out into the great unknown! What planets will we discover? Will we find life on Mars? Come and see!

Improv Technique: Part 2
Artist teachers: Heather & Francesca
Young artists will learn how to play off of and with their group to create entire new stories each and every time they meet! It's about the process in this fun class!

What Makes ME Super: Introduction to Acting

Discover your super power within! This introduction to acting class teaches our youngest actors basic acting concepts while exploring fun superhero themes and tropes.

Character Creation
Artist teachers: Heather & Susannah
Start flexing your character creation skills for summer camp! This class will focus on acting and storytelling skills to discover new characters and their stories.

For High Schoolers

Advanced Acting Techniques
Your skills will soar through the roof under the direction of our Shadow Company director, Natalie Hann. Classes are just $12 per class for the 10 week session. Great for Shadow members who have already participated in Shadow Company or high schoolers who would like to learn more about our high school company.

General Info

10 or 12 weeks of classes. Classes begin the week of October 2 and go through the week of December 12. We will have off for Thanksgiving Break (Week of November 21).
Classes are held at the Germantown Mennonite Church at 21 W. Washington Ln. in Germantown (Visit Google map.)
Studio rates are competitive and we also offer scholarships if needed.
Grades and ages are approximate. Please talk to a staff member to see what classes are right for your child's developmental stage.
Classes are just $12 a session and last 1 hour. Please arrive early so your child can have the full hour of instruction
Parents are welcome to either drop off their child, or sit in our office during the session. We have wi-fi!

Artist Teachers

Heather McBride is a Philadelphia-based, actor and improv performer. She is a Summer Camp Director and has worked with our Sort of Thing program as an administrator and actor. We are so excited to have her with us.

Lindsey Jaynes dances and teaches dance throughout the Philadelphia area. She is one of our favorite Summer Camp movement teachers and has worked on our Summer Sort of Thing shows

Jess Barragan is a former public school visual arts teacher and has been teaching in our Summer Camps for the past two years. She has also painted murals and designed props and sets.

Karen Smith is a musician, playwright, and performer all over Philadelphia. We were excited to have her teach with us this past summer and now for our Studio classes as well.

Francesca Piccioni is a Philadelphia actor and theatre artist, recently seen in the So-Low Festival with a clown piece she co-created. She has taught acting and directing for our Summer Camps and performed with our Sort of Thing program.
