Once reviewed, we will get back to you and let you know how we’ll follow up. We always hire a team of artists and educators who will collaborate to bring the best experience any kid has ever had! Summer Camp Positions

Summer Camp Director

The Summer Camp Director plays a very important role in making the Summer Collaborative Arts Camp possible for all participants. This individual ensures that the program is carried off successfully and will be the face and voice of YACA to the program: communicating with parents, participants, collaborators, staff and site personnel. Reporting to the YACA Program Director, their basic duty is to manage the program and keep it in line with overall programming needs and goals, meeting the educational and logistical needs of the students in the program. They will manage a staff of between 12-15 individuals per week, volunteer staff of up to 10, and up to 50 child participants per week. They are expected to collaborate with other summer staff, YACA leadership and leaders of the site community.


  • Be responsible for the building and it’s presentation each day
  • Supervise staff, conducting both morning and afternoon staff meetings
  • Interact with and supervise campers through daily activities
  • Complete all tasks necessary for daily operations of the camp
  • Administer discipline and behavior modification when necessary
  • Fulfill daily administrative tasks
  • Be accessible and responsive by phone and email for staff, parents and site representatives
  • Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures of Yes! And… Collaborative Arts
  • Be fun, silly and positive


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Previous management or program direction experience required
  • Must have previous experience working with children
  • Previous camp experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Up to date CPR certification and First Aid training (or must be completed prior to the start of summer)
  • Previous experience in the arts is a plus but not required
  • Show a personal commitment to collaboration

Summer Artist Teacher & Traveler Staff

We will receive applications through Friday April 13. Once your application is received, you may be invited to attend our staff audition on either April 14 (12-2pm) or April 17 (6:30-8:30pm). All staff members who are hired for the summer must be able to complete the following:

  • Obtain updated clearances (Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, FBI Fingerprinting and Health Assessment)
  • Attend a Recruitment Event or Work Day (choose from list of dates on application)
  • Attend all trainings: June 7 & 8, 5:30pm-9:30pm, June 9, 9:30am-6:30pm, June 10, 2:00pm-8:00pm

All interested must complete the application below to be considered for summer positions. We will hold two invitation only auditions/interviews on April 14, 12:00-2:00pm and April 17, 6:30-8:30pm. Once your application is received and reviewed, you will be notified of your invitation to interview/audition on one of these dates.
