D’vorah describes her work:
I work therapeutically with individuals as well as groups, using custom-tailored non-verbal expression and focused practice, with the intent to open and deepen consciousness, self-understanding and self-expression.
The process usually begins with an initial meeting, during which the client and I craft a practice that includes a written/visual piece to initiate daily reflection.
The next part of our creations together is a physical practice, again, tailored to the individual’s needs and abilities.
The third phase of our work includes a non-verbal expression activity –whatever we are inspired to develop together.
We use a series of meetings to talk about the individual’s experiences, thoughts and questions. I act as a teacher, providing the structure and the container for the practice as well as serving as a guide towards deeper understanding.
"Working with D'vorah and the practice she has created- gave me the opportunity to take a spiritual pilgrimage from home. The work we have done together was moving and deep. The container she provides with both the practice and guidance- allowed for the possibility of some profound spiritual shifts. The word alchemy comes to mind for me."
I am so grateful to be able to do this work, and for the wisdom I have collected along the way.
I will work with women and men of all ages and with adolescent girls.
With great love, D’vorah Horn
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
