Yes! And...

Yes! And... Collaborators

We believe in the power in collaboration!

Collaborators! Here at Yes! And..., we don't just think collaboration is something that we teach to kids at every program, nor do we simply believe that it's a wonderful method of teaching and learning, we actually actively seek out ways to collaborate with others. In order to fulfill our mission of equipping "children and young people with the tools to be better learners, to believe in themselves and to realize their dreams..." we believe it's essential to collaborate with other organizations and people who are working alongside us to make this mission a reality. Yes! And... is not a religious organization and does not provide religious programming. Though we will at times collaborate with organizations that are faith-based, none of the programming that we participate in will be religious.

These are a few organizations that we are currently collaborating with.

Eastern University

Eastern University is a "Christian university dedicated to the preparation of undergraduate, theological and graduate students for thoughtful and productive lives of Christian faith, leadership and service." (From their mission statement.)

Eastern University is where our founding directors began Yes! And... and we are still active partners with them. We have received several interns from their theatre program, their communications major, and their non-profit program. In addition, we attend homecoming each year, participate in the theatre program, they partner with our Winter Sort of Thing, we teach a class on collaborative arts, and recruit summer staff. We are also very proud to say that we have students from our program who have gone on to Eastern University as undergraduates in a partnership with The Simple Way.

Eastern University Theatre

“Making Art that Matters, Telling Stories that Transform” Eastern Theatre is "inspired by this mission to pursue a philosophy of arts education which includes training our students to encounter, examine and embody the truths of the human experience..." (from their website.)

It is important to recognize the special relationship we have with Eastern University Theatre. Their director, Mark Hallen, was instrumental in the creation of Yes! And... and remains extremely influential. We co-produce our wildly successful Winter Sort of Thing and receive students from their program as cast and crew in addition to receiving their space and technical staff. We also participate in the yearly undergraduate meetings and often help with other productions.

EAPE

From their website: "Under the leadership of Tony and Bart Campolo, EAPE has developed and nurtured elementary and secondary schools, universities, adult and child literacy centers, tutoring programs, orphanages, AIDS hospices, urban youth ministries, summer camps, and long-term Christian service programs in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, in various African countries, and across Canada and the United States."

Yes! And... has been in partnership with EAPE for over 10 years and we are proud to be a partner in EAPE's outreach to urban youth.

Camden Printworks

Creative, quality screenprinting in Camden, New Jersey. Custom t-shirts, sweatshirts, reusable tote/grocery bags, and more.

We have a great relationship with this t-shirt printing company right over the bridge in Camden, NJ. They are one of the sponsors of our Kickball Tournament as well as being huge supporters of our other programming, including the Winter Sort of Thing.

The Simple Way

The Simple Way is more than just a connection for us. Two of our founding directors were also founding members of The Simple Way. From their website: The Simple Way is a web of subversive friends, conspiring to spread the vision of "Loving God, Loving People, and Following Jesus" in our neighborhoods and in our world.

Jamie Moffett Media Design & Production/Another World is Possible

In the Kensington section of Philadelphia, there resides a small production company that makes some big films that tell big stories about acts of love and service performed in all kinds of places.
At Jamie Moffett Media Design & Production we use film to document the stories of those who work for peace and justice in their own communities and around the world; ordinary people who do extraordinary things with some simple love and service.

Practically

Yes! And… offers communities a variety of Programs, shaping and designing each one to meet the needs of the specific communities we serve.

Yes! And… operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a member of the New Beginnings Nonprofit Incubator at Resources for Human Development (RHD).

We spend most of our time with kids living in low-income neighborhoods in and around the Philadelphia area, but we believe that collaborative arts education is important for all ages, everywhere.
