In 1998 the Summer Theatre Camp was launched at (then) Eastern College. It was a two week program. The theme that summer was “The Moon.” Children from UrbanPromise in Camden, Barry School in West Philadelphia, the simple way in North Philadelphia and the suburban Main Line all came together for 10 days to play, sing, dance and imagine. The final performance, titled “Moon Dance” was full of the energy and joy that was generated by this truly diverse group of children.
