Yes! And...'s Winter Sort of Thing is a perfect field trip experience! Every year, the Friday performance is set aside for school groups to attend and every year it is the most energetic performance of our run. Q: What are the appropriate ages and grades for this performance?
A: Our captive audience has proved that Yes! And...'s Winter Sort of Thing is quite appropriate for almost any age! However, we find that students in grades 4-7 are particulary engaged as they can grasp the subject matter, get almost all the jokes, and follow the plot line.
Q: Can we get a discount on the tickets?
A: Yes! Any field trip ticket for that performance is just $7.
Q: How long is the performance?
A: Typically, Yes! And...'s Winter Sort of Thing runs between 50 and 65 minutes. There's no intermission, but the lobby is open for refreshments before and after the performance.

Q: Do homeschoolers qualify for this deal?

Q: What is this "Winter Sort of Thing?"
A: Yes! And…'s Winter Sort of Thing is a 6 month long program that brings children from every walk of life and age together with professional artists to create and perform a full length musical on the stage at Eastern University. Through script-writing collaboratively, and the extensive rehearsal process this ensemble of 30+ create a wild and wonderful story that reflects both the struggles of childhood and the struggles of citizenship in a complex society. Young people 7-17 from Kensington and Chestnut Hill join teachers, actors, musicians, social workers and dancers on stage in the performance of this original piece of theatre. A: Yes! And… is a Philadelphia Non-profit that has been working with children and professional artists for the last ten years. Yes! And….'s model of collaborative arts education uses art skills to teach children collaboration, confidence and their own capacity. After School Programs, Summer Theatre Camps, Play Building Festivals, and Yes! And…'s Winter Sort of Thing are programs designed to teach artistic and social skills, while equipping each child with the confidence and curiosity to become not just students but explorers. Yes!
